Families created an artwork as a special memento of the launch of Battle Children's Centre in East Sussex last month. The centre is in the grounds of Battle & Langton Primary School.

Children from Axminster and surrounding villages will benefit from a new after-school club launched at Axminster Community Primary School this week.

Clog dancers and clowns helped celebrate the opening of the Stourbridge Children and Family Centre. The centre, which is a partnership between Dudley Council and children's charity NCH, provides services for children and young people up to 18.

Longhill High School in Rottingdean is setting up an after-school club with local youth charity Woodingdean Youth Centre. The club will include a ChillZone where young people can relax with friends and a LearnZone for homework and study support.

Children planted a time capsule containing letters they had written at the launch of the Redbourn and Villages Children's Centre in Hertfordshire last month.

BBC Look East presenter Stewart White helped launch a £442,000 children's centre for families in Diss. The centre at Diss Infants School is one of 25 opening in Norfolk this year.

Local people are being asked to suggest the name for a new children's centre in Lytham St Annes, Blackpool. It will be run by North Lancashire Teaching Primary Care Trust in partnership with Lancashire County Council.
