1 min read
Fairy tales were the theme for the official opening of Brookside Children's Centre in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, last month.

The centre is run by the children's charity Barnardo's and services on offer include stay and play sessions, parenting workshops and children's health clinics.

Local children's author and illustrator Shoo Rayner helped to cut the ribbon at the official launch of River Children's Centre in Lydney, Gloucestershire. The centre is spread across two sites.

St Austell Sure Start Children's Centre in Cornwall threw open its doors on 5 November after a major refurbishment. The centre now boasts a brand new playroom and creche, as well as a redesigned garden and an outdoor playspace.

Children aged four to 11 are enjoying new breakfast and after-school clubs at Lodge Primary School in Sandwell. Holiday play schemes run by voluntary sector provider The Branch are also on offer.
