In Practice: Roundup - After-school investment

1 min read
More than 50 new after-school clubs will be launched in London, the London Development Agency has announced.

The clubs will be set up through School Sports Partnerships and teachers, support staff and pupils will be trained to help run them. The move is part of efforts to ensure young people benefit from the 2012 Olympics.

The National Literacy Trust wants children's professionals to help shape its Talk to Your Baby campaign and is staging a series of free seminars this month and in April.
