In Practice: Cash in hand - The Drinkaware Trust

The Drinkaware Trust is a national charity that promotes alcohol education and aims to combat alcohol abuse. It offers a range of free resources and small grants funding for alcohol education work with young people, such as peer mentoring, and is particularly keen to hear from children's centres and extended schools.

The trust will have 130,000 to give out this coming year, withaverage grants ranging from 1,000 to 2,000. Also watch outfor the launch of the Drinkaware Challenge early next year with UKYouth, which will encourage young people to work towards awards and willcome with funding for youth-led projects.
