In Practice: Cash in hand - Family learning

If you're an extended school or children's centre in England looking to fund a project that encourages adults and children to learn together as a family you will be eligible to apply for a grant from the Big Lottery Fund's Family Learning programme. The fund is making 40m available over the next three years for projects that enable children and families to bond while building life skills. It is particularly interested in hearing from projects where learning is not based on getting a qualification.

Arts and crafts, sport, outdoor activities or drama can all be used asthe basis for family learning. Grants of between 10,000 and500,000 are available.
