Help from ... The Brain & Spine Foundation

The Brain & Spine Foundation supports the three million people in the UK, including children, who suffer from brain and spine disorders.

As well as running a helpline for the public, it offers education programmes for GPs, medical students, and schools and colleges.

Its current projects include the development of a directory of children's information and services. This is being carried out with the help of young people and their families.

It is also developing an information service for young adults that could include tool kits for schools.

The foundation has carried out research into the causes of brain injury, and it produces a range of information booklets.
