Four parents with children with special needs set up the charity in thehope that making contact with those in similar situations will helpfamilies realise they are not alone.
The charity offers a members-only area of its web site, including anactive forum where issues surrounding education are often discussed.Professionals can also become members of the charity. This gives themaccess to a professionals'-only online forum to meet and discuss withother professionals. There is also the opportunity to ask questions ofother members via a moderator.
Special Kids also sets up local groups to provide support.
