Help from: Crime Concern

Formed in 1988, Crime Concern is a charity that tries to reduce crime by working with local people, community groups and police.

The charity runs a number of community-based projects in more than 50locations in England and Wales, including projects designed to preventchildren and young people getting involved in crime.

Crime Concern also operates a support service to help other projectsimprove their work or get off the ground. And it provides training forlocal authorities, police forces and voluntary groups in how to tacklecrime.

Organisations can make use of its media and marketing team to helppromote their work. Crime Concern has also recently taken over the taskof co-ordinating the Government's Positive Futures scheme, asports-based crime prevention project.
