Help from: Child Protection in Sport Unit

The unit is a partnership between the NSPCC, Sport England, SportScotland, the Sports Council for Northern Ireland and the Sports Council for Wales. It was formed in 2001 to implement efforts by sports organisations to improve child protection in under-18s sport.

To help sport groups improve safeguarding work, the unit provides arange of practical help. Services include advice on developing policiesand procedures, training courses and a support network for people insports organisations who are responsible for child protection.

The unit, which has an office in each of the four UK nations, alsopublishes a range of briefing papers and guidance for sports groups.
