2006 Accord for the Protection of Children in Scottish Sport

All 53 lottery-funded sports in Scotland have signed up to the 2006 Accord for the Protection of Children in Scottish Sport.

It was drawn up by the Child Protection in Sport steering group, a partnership between the charity Children 1st and sportscotland, to provide recommendations for sports clubs and organisations on how they can bring in child protection measures. In signing up to the accord, the organisations have agreed to make sure that their staff are trained on how to keep children and young people safe and that concerns about their safety or welfare are responded to quickly and appropriately.
