Help from: Chas

The Children's Hospice Association Scotland (Chas) was formed in 1992 by a small group of parents and professionals concerned about the absence of any children's hospice in the country.

The group's fundraising and campaigning work eventually lead to theopening of Scotland's first children's hospice - Rachel House - in 1996.In 2005 the charity opened Scotland's second hospice - Robin House.

As well as running the two hospices, Chas provides support to familieswith children who have terminal illnesses at home through itsHighland-based Rachel House At Home Team service.

Chas also offers expert advice to other children's professionals andruns two charity shops and a gift shop to help fund its work.
