It was set up by Liz Carnell and her son John as a result of their experiences of dealing with school bullying. They used some of the 6,000 they gained from an out-of-court settlement from legal action against North Yorkshire County Council to set up the site.
The web site covers a wide range of bullying issues, including advice for parents and pupils, legal advice, sample letters to send to schools, and advice from its "resident governor" about the law on exclusions and how complaints should be treated.
It also provides links to other providers of advice about bullying, such as the Anti Bullying Campaign.
