The executive stopped funding the Anti-Bullying Network two months agoand most members of staff have been made redundant. But ministers havestill not set up a new organisation to help professionals deal withbullying in schools.
A source from the Anti-Bullying Network said: "The funding stopped atthe end of July. We had expected that a service would have been set upto take over from the Anti-Bullying Network, but we're still waiting tohear from the minister. We can't do much without funding."
The lack of funding means there is no service for professionals whorequire advice on how deal with bullying. The source said: "The networkhas existed to support professionals working with children, rather thanto provide a direct service to children and parents. There are a lot ofthem and we just can't support them at the moment."
