The service, Respectme, will help organisations that work with childrenand young people to tackle bullying. It will also look at ways to dealwith cyber and text bullying.
Education minister Hugh Henry, who launched the service yesterday (13March), said: "Bullies don't respect boundaries and that's why we haveextended services to help all organisations, not just schools, worktogether to stamp it out. Bullying is more likely to take place outsidethe classroom. Respectme will help to develop solutions to thesesituations."
In its first year, the new anti-bullying service will develop a toolkitto help organisations develop policies and give training to helpimplement policies and share best practice and anti-bullyingresources.
