Health News: Scotland - Pupils are missing out on PE lessons

Only one pupil in 20 gets two hours of physical education a week in Scotland.

Five per cent of primary pupils and six per cent of secondary pupilsmeet the two-hour target set by the Scottish Executive for schools toreach by 2007/08.

Figures released by the Executive last week show pupils in some schoolsreceive more than twice as much physical education as in other parts ofScotland.
