Sue Smith, chair of the National Safeguarding Children Association forNurses, said demand for associate membership had been particularly highfrom physiotherapists.
Many physiotherapists working with children were interested indeveloping their skills in child protection and becoming childprotection leads on their teams.
The association's competency framework would give them the tools to dothis, Smith added.
