Health News: Obesity - Child views could shape guidelines

Children's feedback may be included in government obesity guidelines after the suggestion to include them was made at a conference last week.

The Health Development Agency is working jointly with the National Institute for Clinical Excellence for the first time to develop guidance on the prevention and management of obesity in children and adults.

The news comes as a new study for the British Heart Foundation, Couch Kids, claimed that one in three ten-year-old girls was overweight.
