Health News: Healthy schools - Homework used to get Liverpoolfitter

Liverpool City Council is sending all 70,000 of its school children home with a book to help families improve their health.

The Liverpool Healthy Schools Guide was produced with the healthservice, Liverpool John Moores University and local publishers. Theguide contains ideas for places that families can go to enjoy activitiestogether, healthy living and useful web sites and phone numbers.

Stephen Tiffany, the council's senior school effectiveness officer, saidit was important to connect with parents and children.
