South East Sheffield PCT has some of the highest levels of low-birthweight babies in the city. Tinsely neighbourhood has the highest percentage in the PCT at 14.2 per cent of babies born with low birth weights compared to a city-wide average of 8.6 per cent. However, Sheffield City Centre has the highest rate across the Sheffield area, with 16.8% of babies born at less than 2,500 grams.
