The drop in teenage pregnancy rates in Darlington represents a change of23.7 in the percentage rate. The fall has been credited to factorsincluding improved sex and relationships education in schools, bettercontraceptive services and the C-Card scheme. Young people, whoparticipate through the teenage pregnancy partnership board, were alsoinvolved in planning flats for single parents.
