Health News brief: Joint Working - Lewisham PCT in partnership move

A London primary care trust is to strengthen its links with children's services as it looks to be at the forefront of partnership working prompted by the Children Act 2004 and Every Child Matters.

Lewisham PCT in south east London is in the process of appointing two associate directors to feed into Lewisham council's new children's services directorate.

The associate commissioning director and associate director will play a key part in establishing Lewisham's new children's services directorate in 2005.

Their tasks will include developing and strengthening links with practice nurses, modernising disabled children's services and improving the speed of information transfer to partner agencies.
