NCB Now: Comment - Partnership working

1 min read
Partnership working is central to our mission. NCB was set up to "promote co-operation in childcare" and to support child-centred practice and multi-agency working. So, long before Every Child Matters, NCB was exploring models of integrated or partnership working.

On 10 July, the Centre for Excellence and Outcomes in Children's Services (C4EO) launches. An NCB-led partnership, C4EO brings together key agencies working to share best practice. C4EO is "for the sector, from the sector", harnessing practitioners to support colleagues in other localities.

With over 20 specialist groups, many other models of partnership working are evident across NCB. Shared Campaigning - Every Disabled Child Matters has transformed policy for disabled children. Shared Delivery - the PEAL programme has harnessed 23 early years organisations to deliver a programme to help parents support their children's learning. Shared Policy - hosting the All-party Parliamentary Group for Children enables children's agencies to meet MPs and Peers from all parties.
