The Fab Food Funhouse Roadshow, run by Gateshead Council, uses a sound system and special effects to convey messages about healthy food and physical activity.
The show parodies game shows such as Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and Deal or No Deal. It has visited 32 primary schools so far and is scheduled to visit all 70 in the borough.
Labour councillor Catherine Donovan, Gateshead Council's lead member for children and young people, said: "This is a fun event that children enjoy, but it deals with serious issues. It's vital children make the right choices from an early age."
The council said it had fielded enquiries from schools outside the area interested in the format.
