Hard-to-reach groups: Youth parliament site hosts videos

The UK Youth Parliament is hoping to better represent the views of hard-to-reach groups of young people by allowing them to post videos on its web site.

The parliament recently expanded its web site to feature several shortfilms produced by members over the past 12 months. The films addressissues such as knife and gun crime, sex and relationship education andfair trade.

The next phase of development will be to enable any young person tosubmit short films on any issue they feel passionate about. AndyHamflett, chief executive of the UK Youth Parliament, said: "We'veinvested in video technology as part of our strategic development overthe past few months, and our members are using the equipment more andmore."
