The money comes from the council's Executive Committee ChildcareStrategy funding, which has already awarded more than 5m oninfrastructure and projects.
Glasgow City Council's education services landed 740,000 toexpand provision for two- to three-year-olds and meet Care Commissionstandards. Other council education services to benefit include 100,000 to upgrade internet access in schools.
Summer services for children with special educational needs received91,000, which will be matched with money from the NewOpportunities Fund.
And nearly 170,000 was allocated to Govan Initiative Fresh StartNurseries.
Voluntary sector organisations also benefited, including One Plusgroups.
In Greater Pollok, 150,000 was allocated towards the capitalcosts of developing new childcare provision for under-fives and inCarntyne 16,268 was given towards staffing a 24-placeout-of-school childcare service.
