Funding Watch: Children to help award Young People Fund cash

Who's getting money and who's giving it.

The organisation that will lead grant-making to individuals and smallgroups for the Young People's Fund has pledged children and young peoplewill be involved every step of the way. UnLtd, a charity that supportssocial entrepreneurs, has been appointed the main award partner todeliver The Big Boost programme in England. The Big Boost will awardgrants of between 250 and 5,000 to individuals and smallgroups of people aged 11 to 25, who plan and deliver projects in theirlocal areas.

"We have involved children and young people in the design of theprogramme from the name to the application forms, which have beenuser-tested," said programme manager Kirsten Bradbury.
