What is it?
Buttle UK's School Fees Programme aims to transform the lives of very vulnerable children who have health, emotional, social or family difficulties, by helping them find stable school places. The grant programme provides financial assistance to help children move to suitable schools including boarding schools and independent schools. The charity helps children and young people who are aged between 11 and 18, who are adopted, or cared for by grandparents, relatives or friends, are from single parent families, or have two carers but one is very severely incapacitated through illness or disability.
How much is available?
Funding is decided on a case-by-case basis. Applicants for funding are required to already have chosen a school. The charity must be satisfied that the facilities of the chosen school meet the requirements of the pupil and that the level of fees can realistically be met.
