Funding: Diana fund to resume handing out grants after court dispute

1 min read

An out-of-court settlement agreed last week freed 48m of funding, 525,000 of which will be given straight to groups whose promised grants were frozen during the dispute. These include Action for Prisoners' Families and The Refugee Council.

Exact amounts have not been confirmed, but the grant for Action for Prisoners' Families will be enough to support its core activities for three years.

Lucy Gampell, director of Action for Prisoners' Families, said: "I'm delighted the dispute has been resolved. This will allow us to continue to champion the needs of prisoners' families."

The fund said more money would be available soon for a range of causes.
