Funding Briefs

The Big Lottery Fund and the Heritage Lottery Fund last week consulted young people at the National Eisteddfod event in Cardiff about how their communities could be improved. The aim is to use the feedback when developing future funding programmes.

Campaign group Talking About Cannabis, which aims to support families affected by their children's cannabis use, is seeking funding after being granted charitable status. Its first project will be to establish a 24-hour helpline for families.

Dental practices will be among the main beneficiaries of £75m of health service funding announced by the Scottish Government. Priorities will be dental centres for independent dental practitioners working in the NHS and the upgrading of dental decontamination facilities.
