The Foster Care Associates pilot project, We Foster 2, was launched lastweek in the North East of England and provides meetings for birthchildren aged between eight and 15 years old.
The project allows birth children to share their experiences of livingin a foster family and take part in activities and days out. Theproject's Little Helpers scheme also caters for younger birth childrenand grandchildren.
Mick Austin, north east operational director at Foster Care Associates'said: "Birth children can play a huge role in achieving positive fosterplacements and our scheme is designed to understand their needs as wellas reward their efforts."
