Ford Britain Trust

1 min read
What is it? Set up by the Ford Motor Company more than 25 years ago, the Ford Britain Trust offers grants to community and education organisations local to the car firm's offices and factories.

Who can apply? The fund considers grants from charities, schools, parent and teacher associations and small clubs and societies in Essex, east London, south Wales, Southampton and Daventry. Applications made by organisations where a retired or current Ford employer is involved are also considered. Grants are not handed out to individuals.

What will it fund? It funds mainly small capital costs such as refurbishments and new computers. It also offers grants to lease or buy new Ford vehicles. Those applying for small grants do not have to specify a purpose. High on the fund's list of priorities are projects that support those with disabilities or special educational needs.
