The young people will be employed as district youth enablers across Methodist churches in the UK. One young person will also be employed as a full-time youth president.
This is the first time the Methodist Church has recruited paid 16- to 23-year-olds to help guide its work.
Sarah Malik, 20, chair of the youth conference, said: "This is the first stepping stone of the strategy with young people actually participating in the Methodist Church. There will be lots of support in place to help young people who want to make a difference."
