The charity is concerned many young women from disadvantaged backgrounds are led into poorly paid, low-skilled jobs, because services do not meet their needs.
It is meeting MPs today (6 June) and hopes to get backing for an early day motion calling for the Government to respond positively to proposals to tailor career advice and work experience to the needs of disadvantaged young women.
Sally Copley, director of policy, research and campaigns at YWCA, said: "We're asking the Government to take into consideration what the impact of low pay is on disadvantaged young women."
Michelle Dewberry, last year's winner of BBC's The Apprentice, is supporting the More Than One Rung campaign.
