3.1% of pupils with statements of special educational needs in January 2003 (three per cent in England)

93.9% of pupils in maintained secondary schools in January 2004 were White British (81.3 per cent in England)

0.15% of pupils permanently excluded in 2002/03 (0.12 per cent in England)

8.9% of pupils in maintained nursery and primary schools taking free school meals in January 2004 (14.2 per cent in England)

Tony Lewis, Suffolk County Council's portfolio holder for young people, said: "Our special educational needs audit assesses the needs of all the children in a school and this triggers funding to support them."
