EDUCATION NEWS: Bullying - Haringey schools target violent pupils

A north London primary school is extending a pioneering scheme aimed at cutting playground violence to six other schools in the area.

St Ann's Primary in Tottenham started anger management lessons for children three years ago and headteacher Nesta Murray said the scheme had almost totally eliminated playground violence.

Seven Sisters, Tiverton, Crowland, Stamford Hill, St Mary's Infant and St Mary's Junior are the latest primary schools to join the programme, which has been supported by funding from New Deal in the Community.
