Education Bill: Young carers set to get extra help

The Government looks set to provide extra help for young carers who find it difficult to attend school regularly.

Ministers have already said that looked-after children will beguaranteed a place at their first choice school, alongside children withspecial educational needs statements. Now they have left the door openfor young carers to also be put at the top of the list.
