Yes, the family in Derby where three teenage daughters all had babies by the time they were 16 is probably not an ideal template for the modern family.
And, of course, there should be a strong emphasis on sex and relationships education - especially the relationships bit - at school, starting at a young age so messages hit young people before they are tempted to become sexually active.
