DRUGS: Southwest England gets Frank advice

A programme of events designed to lift the profile of the web site and its helpline have been running in the West Country throughout the summer, with the latest taking place on Woolacombe Beach in north Devon earlier this week.

Darren Hall, regional adviser at the Government Office for the South West's drugs team, said: "We have to acknowledge that there's a fair amount of recreational drug taking in the holiday resorts in the Southwest and that a lot of the target population come here during the summer, so it was a chance to tell them about Frank." Future events in the pipeline include a kite-flying day, a concert and a promotion at a women's surfing competition in Newquay.
