Hull City Council's Children and Young People's Service has teamed up with Hull FC to deliver a programme of activities to deter young people from using drugs and alcohol.
The rugby league club's community foundation team has been working with young people who attend the drug and alcohol service ReFresh. The young people have been given the chance to attend matches and meet the players as part of the Hull FC vs Drugs initiative.
Jo Bonds, social worker at ReFresh, said: "A lot of young people cite boredom as a reason for using drugs and alcohol. At ReFresh, we want to help them consider the alternatives to substance use, such as getting involved in their community."
