Down at my Club: St John Ambulance, Walthamstow, east London

1 min read
I've been attending the St John Ambulance Cadets since I was 11 but joined the Badgers (the youngest group) when I was six.

I come every Friday night and have lots of friends here. We learn things like first aid, casualty simulation and casualty make-up, and work towards our Grand Prior award. Recently, we put on a production of Oliver!. We sold tickets and made £200 for the division. I played Fagin.

As cadets, we help to run the division and tutor the younger members. At the moment we're studying self-image and relationships, and leadership. We also go on summer camps with all the other London divisions. We go to Norfolk, which is so far out of London that it feels like a real holiday with no parents.
