The Keep on Moving pack, launched today by children's charity Whizz-Kidz, is aimed at professionals working with disabled youngsters of all ages, including road safety officers, sport development officers and occupational therapists.
Janet Sneesby's 10-year-old son Ben benefited from the training scheme on a pilot project. "It's made a huge difference," she said. "Ben's self-esteem and wheelchair usage has increased 10-fold.
"He's an independent, safe and competent user now and loves showing off!
"It's made his movements much more fluid and he can go up and down steps. I don't know of anything else that helps children with everyday situations."
