DISABILITY: Phab Scotland gets a revamped image

The Phab Scotland organisation, which stands for Physically Handicapped and Able Bodied, works with the aim of empowering people who have disabilities to actively engage in the social, leisure and educational activities that able bodied people participate in.

Following an extensive review of the organisation's strategy and consultation with its staff, club members and volunteers, the board has changed its name to FABB Scotland. An acronym for Facilitating Access Breaking Barriers, the new name was generally felt to describe more accurately what the organisation stands for and does now.

The group aims to build up its clients' confidence and further their personal development by enabling people with disabilities to gain access to mainstream services.
