Council services: Hants project will join up services

Health and social services are to be brought under one roof in East Hampshire with the launch of a children's services centre.

The Oak Park Children's Centre in Havant, due to open in September 2005, will treat 300 children and families per week.

It will employ 93 staff, including school nurses and two specialist CAMHS teams.

Jenny Templeman, children's services manager at East Hampshire Primary Care Trust, said the scheme would mean families would no longer have to visit services scattered across East Hampshire.
