Unison has lodged a formal dispute with managers at the service. The dispute was triggered by management's alleged failure to consult staff over transition plans. Local authorities are expected to take over responsibility for commissioning Connexions services by April 2008.
A decision on the organisation's future is expected at the end of the month. A Connexions spokesman said: "Connexions Birmingham and Solihull continues to consult Unison and staff."
