Community: Guidance issued on forced marriages

The guidance, the second produced by the Community Liaison Unit for public services, aims to put the duty on youth and social workers to know how to tackle the problem.

Heather Harvey, caseworker for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, said: "Youth workers should be able to use the guidance to find out how to recognise the warning signs and highlight the danger of inappropriate intervention."

The Government plans to produce further guidance for teachers and health practitioners in the future.
