How much is on offer? The fund will give awards of up to £1,000 to young people aged between 14 and 16, while applicants aged 16 to 25 can receive up to £5,000. The charity also offers support and guidance to young people to help their projects be as successful as possible.
What will it fund? The Community Cash Awards help young people to set up a project that will benefit their community. Projects must be run and managed by 14- to 25-year-olds and clearly benefit both the local community and those running the project. Applicants should come up with an idea for a project that will help to improve life for a local community in the UK. It will not fund formal groups or organisations, fundraising activities for charities, expeditions or trips and outings, unless they have educational value. The project must also be new or developing to be eligible for funding.
