The National College of School Leadership is considering linking its National Professional Qualification in Integrated Centre Leadership (NPQICL) and National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) awards.
Veronica Wellington, senior programme manager for NPQICL, said she was working closely with the team behind the NPQH programme. The teams are also collaborating on two resources for centre and school leaders, due to be published by the end of June. One will cover the co-location of children's centres on school sites, and the other will look at the challenges faced by leaders in commissioning services.
NPQICL has been running in England for three years but was recently revamped to have a greater emphasis on improving outcomes. Wellington said it would continue to evolve and the next step would be to examine how it could be tied in with NPQH.
