Q: Does a grandparent have a right to contact with their grandchildren?

A: If no agreement can be reached through mediation with the parents, the grandparents are able to make an application to court for a contact order. As a grandparent, "leave" of the court is required prior to making an application to court. "Leave" is permission of the court to apply. If leave is granted, the court will decide whether to make a contact order based on what they believe to be in the best interests of the child in question.

Q: What can be done if a parent has a dispute with their child's school?
