The report, produced by the Local Government Association, the Improvement and Development Agency, the Connaught Group of Voluntary Organisations, NCH, and the National Council of Voluntary Child Care Organisations, highlights some pitfalls that must be avoided when commissioning different organisations.
It brings together core principles to help professionals across all sectors understand commissioning and the role of the voluntary sector.
It coincides with the publication of Working with voluntary and community organisations to deliver change for children and young people part of the Government's Change for Children framework for local reform.
