Childcare & Early Years: Rotherham centres to get a makeover

1 min read Early Years
Children in Rotherham will be unleashing their inner Laurence Llewelyn-Bowens to bring their early years centres up to scratch in time for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Rotherham Council has launched the Changing Rooms Challenge, which will see more than 65 early years providers volunteer their settings for a makeover to meet the standards of the new curriculum.

A launch event this week showed examples of how to create a suitable environment for early years learning and play.

Paula Williams, workforce development and quality assurance co-ordinator at the council, said: "This is an exciting time for providers and the new regulations present people with a challenge. We want to make it as fun as possible and involve parents, carers, children and the community in the work so they can share the experience."
